Lignans For Life is our own proprietary brand of flax hulls containing 100% pure flaxseed hulls ground into a powder form. GLUTEN FREE. This high grade product is suitable for People or Pets. Flaxseed hulls are very high in Lignan content. Each 5.5 oz. cannister comes with two scoops inside. The larger blue scoop holds 2500 mg of flaxseed hulls which contains about 100 mg of SDG lignan.(exact amount varies from 3-5% of the hulls). The smaller white scoop holds 250 mg of flaxseed hulls which contains about 10 mg of SDG lignan. Flaxseed Hulls are potent antioxidants and high in fibre. Numerous studies have shown that people with high amounts of lignan in their bodies have lower rates of reproductive organ cancers. For women reduced rates of breast cancer, ovarian cancer and uterine cancer and for men reduced rates of prostate cancer. Also for men there are tests that indicate lignans have helped grow hair back and for women menopausal symptoms are mitigated.* Dr Jack Oliver PHD reports that flaxseed lignans combined with melatonin is may be an efficient treatment of Cushings Disease in dogs. This powder can be poured into pancakes or into a beverage to consume. It is fairly bland and can be eaten raw by the spoonful. It tastes like you are eating an unsalted cracker with a slight almond taste to it.
